Thomas McNamara has been in practice since 1979 and has been a director of MCA since 1993. He leads the practice’s healthcare division and is a Fellow of the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland.
He has experience in a wide range of building types, particularly in the design and completion of healthcare facilities. He has been centrally involved in the National Plan for Radiation Oncology at all stages comprising 23 radiotherapy treatment rooms in 5 hospitals throughout Ireland in addition to 5 further radiotherapy units in Ireland and the UK. He has provided leading design services on technically complex projects for the Mater Private Hospital on an ongoing basis for over 20 years and for the Health Service Executive on community nursing units, acute and non-acute hospitals.
Thomas continues to be involved with office projects for the software, financial and legal services sectors including Ericsson, Salesforce IIB Bank and Matheson.
