Hunter’s Yard, Mount Juliet

Client: Tetrarch Capital
Services: Refurbishment, fit out

A celebration of the famous country estate's heritage.

Thomastown, Co. Kilkenny

Mount Juliet, one of Ireland's most acclaimed country estates, required an extension and refurbishment to their existing hotel facilities.

MCA were invited to expand the 16 bedroom Hunter's Yard Hotel at the Mount Juliet Estate with an 80 bedroom extension and address the reconfiguration of all public areas to improve capacity and flow of movement.

The project involved integration of the extension within a partially protected structure and creation of new spaces and access, such as reception area. Part of the brief was to create standalone facilities that worked independently within the context of the Estate.

In addition, MCA were commissioned to complete a luxurious fit-out to an extremely high quality standard, worthy of the lavish Mount Juliet Estate  hospitality experience.

A beautifully executed interior sympathetic to the estate’s history of hunting and fishing

We produced a beautifully executed interior sympathetic to the estate’s history of hunting and fishing by use of leather, wool and lovely blonde timbers, in conjunction with modern patterns and textures, plus creative use of colour, in keeping with new aesthetic trends.

We also worked closely with artist Kathryn Callaghan who produced a selection of wildlife prints and giclee for the restaurant and bedrooms.
