Tyrone House Malborough Street, Dublin 1 Client: Department of Education Services: Conservation Architecture
A sensitive integration of old and new, including the refurbishment of the historic neoclassical building by Georgian architect Richard Cassis.
Tyrone House, one of the most architecturally significant 18th Century buildings in Ireland, accommodates the offices of the Minister of Education.
This project included the design and construction of 3 new four-storey office buildings and an underground car park including the refurbishment and reconstruction of five listed buildings all within the Department of Education campus on Marlborough Street in Dublin 1.
The completed development provides 6,000 m² of high quality office and education related buildings. This complex conservation project was carried out in six phases which ensured the Department of Education and two adjoining schools continued to operate throughout the construction work.
