MCA assisted Mater Private with their successful bid to provide a Private Patient Unit at the Clatterbridge Centre for Oncology which is one of the largest cancer centres in the UK and the sole provider of radiotherapy in the Merseyside and Cheshire Cancer Network.
The project required alterations and refurbishment of an area of the existing hospital to facilitate the provision of a separate entrance, a refurbished and refitted radiotherapy treatment suite, day oncology facilities and consultant suites, all of which were finished to a very high aesthetic standard. As design architects, MCA retained a reviewing role while local firm AFL Architects developed designs and administered the project onsite.
