The Moxy Hotel, part of the Marriott Group, is a project that expresses a confidence in its design and location. Both calm and elegant, it re-imagines this central urban space, linking a vibrant boutique hotel with a busy public realm.

Located behind the former Clery’s department store, this hotel development project involves the refurbishment of an original 1970’s 4-storey office block. to create a new boutique hotel. Accommodation will include 158 rooms, over a ground floor reception, bar and restaurant and an adjacent separate retail/restaurant/cafe unit.

The proposed structure extends the existing building vertically to six floors with a set-back penthouse level. The design is both contemporary and appropriate with a composition that is calm and elegant, clearly expressing its form and function. It is set back into the streetscape and defines a a new urban space, albeit small scale, befits this discreet central city location.
